To Celebrate 175 years of Derby as a Railway City, the nearby Depot at Etches Park opened its doors to the public. A wide range of Diesel traction was on show along with examples of modern day traction that Etches Park deals with on a daily basis. An 08 was repainted and named plus re-railing and lifting demonstrations all gave a flavour to what this modern day Depot is all about. Also, an impressive line up of Class 20s were stabled near the station that have all been involved on recent Tube stock moves to and from the Litchurch Lane works. Thanks must go to EMT for putting this on and the Staff that gave up their time
